Elbe1 has provided comprehensive Owner’s Engineering services throughout the EPCI phases for the Hohe See and Albatros Offshore Wind Farms, located in the North Sea. Elbe1 successfully guided the client through its first EPCI project, taking on the full scope for all structures within the OWF. Elbe1 was the first in the industry to successfully meet all permitting and certification milestones, and navigated the client through challenging times, including major equipment breakdowns, while still meeting all project milestones within time and budget. Our services included Technical Project Management and Engineering Management for both the wind turbine generator (WTG) foundations and offshore substation (OSS) foundations, ensuring robust and efficient designs. We provided Geotechnical Consultancy to address site-specific challenges and offered Certification Consultancy to streamline compliance processes. Additionally, we supported Permitting Consultancy with a focus on BSH regulations and managed Non-Conformities during design, manufacturing, and installation. Our expertise also extended to the design of Navigational Marking, Noise Mitigation, and Fire Protection concepts. These wind farms, with a combined capacity of 609 MW, power approximately 710,000 households, contributing significantly to Germany’s renewable energy goals.
